Canon has recently released a firmware update for their EOS Rebel Tli / 500D DSLR camera. The new firmware version v1.1.1 addresses errors in the Arabic & Portuguese menu screens.
Canon has also released an update for the EOS 50D DSLR, firmware version v1.0.8 The new firmware incorporates 2 fixes. Firstly, it improves the writing/reading speeds when using UDMA 7-compatible CF cards and secondly, it fixes errors that appear in the Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Arabic, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai and Turkish menu screens.
